ZIRO Music Festival 2022, Arunachal Pradesh

Nestled in the serene valley of Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, this architectural project was crafted for one of the region’s most iconic music festivals. Celebrating the spirit of music, nature, and community, the stages and pavilions were constructed entirely out of bamboo, a material deeply rooted in the local culture and ecosystem. The design seamlessly blended with the breathtaking landscape, enhancing the valley’s natural charm while creating spaces that resonated with the festival’s energy.

The project was a harmonious collaboration between the principal architects, an enthusiastic team, and skilled local craftsmen and workers. From ideation to execution, every step was undertaken on-site, fostering a rich exchange of ideas, techniques, and cultural insights. This immersive process transformed the construction into an unforgettable journey, where traditional knowledge met contemporary design sensibilities.

For the visitors and users, the resulting spaces were more than just stages and pavilions—they were experiences. Whether performing, listening, or simply wandering, everyone became part of a narrative where architecture, music, and nature came together as one. The project stands as a testament to the power of collective creativity and the beauty of architecture rooted in its context.
